Amavasya Healing Store was dreamt up in the mountains, under a full moon of 2020. Tucked away in the Byron Hinterlands, we used our time in lockdown to begin dreaming and crafting. In an organic process, they synthesised years of individual spiritual inquiry, with love and creativity. Their intention rests in every element of their creations.

Not just safe to breathe, our candles are aromatherapeutic. All Amavasya candles contain almost a shot glass of essential oils(!). These oils have cleansing properties for mind, body & soul. Pure essential oil candles are concerningly rare. Many "natural candle" brands tend to opt for "naturally-derived" fragrances, approximately a tenth of the cost.
They switched to pure ingredients early on their journey, after experiencing headaches from such "natural" fragrances. They were shocked to find (buried) in the fine print, that the majority of formulas are in fact chemically enhanced and they haven't looked back since. Their natural wax burns for approximately double the time of most alternatives, and is free of Paraffin's toxic qualities, They have chosen a supplier who harvests ethically, with a percentage of revenue going towards deforestation efforts. Candles live in reusable glass amber jars, with timber lids, and are packed in a recyclable kraft box.
